Easy Free Koala Amigurumi Pattern | Crochet Doll Tutorial

 🐨 Crochet cuteness alert! Get your hooks ready for this adorable free crochet amigurumi koala pattern! 

I made this koala free amigurumi for those of you who want to learn to make amigurumi crochet project as beginner. However, I really hope this pattern will not be sold again or distributed widely. I worked quite hard to make this pattern, writing and photographing every step.

Things what you need :

 

• Gray and pink cotton yarn
• White acrylic yarn
• 2.5 mm crochet hook (3/0-4/0)
• Fiberfill for stuffing
• 5 mm blackbeads or safety eyes
• Scissor , needle , glue, pins
• Brush

 

Abbreviation

Ch : chain

Sc : single crochet

Inc: increase

Dec: decrease

St: stitch

Sl: slip stitch

Head

 

Gray yarn

Rnd 1 : 6sc in magic ring (6)

 

Rnd 2 : (inc) repeat 6 times (12)

Rnd 3 : (sc in next st , inc) repeat 6 times (18)

Rnd 4 : (sc in next 2 sts , inc) repeat 6 times (24)

Rnd 5 : (sc in next 3 sts , inc) repeat 6 times (30)

Rnd 6 : (sc in next 5 sts , inc) repeat 5 times (35)

Rnd7 – Rnd 11 : sc in each st around (35)

Rnd 12 : (sc in next 3 sts , dec) repeat 7 times (28)

Rnd 13 : (sc in next 2 sts, dec) repeat 7 times  (21)

Rnd 14 : (sc in next st ,  dec) repeat 7 times (14) , fasten off and stuff.

 

Insert safety eyes between rnd 8 and rnd 9 

Body

Rnd 1 : 6sc in magic ring (6)

Rnd 2 : (inc) repeat 6 times (12)

Rnd 3 : (sc in next st , inc) repeat 6 times (18)

Rnd 4 : (sc in next 5 sts , inc) repeat 3 times (21)

Rnd 5 – 10 : sc in each st around (21)

Rnd 11 : (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 5 times, sc in next st (16)

Rnd 12 : (sc in next st ,  dec) repeat 5 times, sc in next st (11), fasten off and leaving tail for sewing then stuff.

 

 

Hand (make 2)

Gray yarn

Rnd 1 : 6sc in magic ring (6)

Rnd 2- 6 : sc in each st around (6) fasten off, leave tail and stuff carefully

 

Leg (make 2)

Gray yarn

Rnd 1 : 8sc in magic ring (8)

Rnd 2- 3 : sc in each st around (8) fasten off, leave tail and stuff carefully

 

Ear (make 2)

Gray yarn

Rnd 1 : 6sc in magic ring (6)

Rnd 2 : (inc) repeat 6 times (12)

Rnd 3 : (sc in next st , inc) repeat 6 times (18)

Rnd 4 : (sc in next 2 sts ,  dec) repeat 4 times, sc in next 2 st (14)

 

Rnd 5 : sc in each st (14) Fasten off, leave tail . (No need stuffing)

 

Set the head and body with pins then sew them together   Pin the hands and sew again

Set the ears and sew them

Prepare white acrylic yarn for shaggy ears

Starting from the lower end of the ear

Follow the arrow

We will make a knot every 4 ply yarn.

Repeat up until the top of ears (6-7 knot)

I use dog brush to untangle acrylic yarn
